Reselling Earnings per Hour

See what your reselling work earned per hour after the expenses you enter. Use one consistent batch or period, with time and costs allocated on the same basis. Proceeds are receipts, not profit.

Enter sale amounts before fees, excluding sales tax collected for remittance. If you start from a payout after fees, reconstruct gross proceeds first to avoid subtracting fees twice. Count inventory sold and supplies consumed, not all inventory or supplies purchased.

Refunds must use the same tax-excluded basis as your entered receipts: exclude refunded sales tax that was remitted or handled by the marketplace. For a full refund of a CAD 100 sale plus CAD 13 sales tax, enter CAD 100 in refunds, not CAD 113. Include any refunded shipping that you counted in shipping collected.

If returned stock is restored to your inventory, remove its original cost from inventory sold for this worksheet; do not also count that cost as a loss. Keep actual unrecovered expenses or a genuine inventory loss on the same period basis. Enter marketplace and payment fees net of fee credits; do not also subtract those credits from refunds or another cost line.

This worksheet needs its JavaScript files to load before calculation is available. You can still read the instructions. Entries stay in this page; this tool does not save or send them.

Receipts and costs for the same batch or period
Time spent (minutes)

Net earnings here means receipts after refunds minus your entered costs, before income tax and before assigning a wage to your time. Omitted overhead, returns, losses or time can overstate earnings. Include unpaid sourcing and unsuccessful listing work allocated to this period. This is a worksheet, not accounting or tax advice.

Amounts and minutes accept 0–1,000,000 with up to two decimals. Total time must exceed zero. Hourly earnings = net earnings × 60 ÷ total minutes. All calculations use exact fractions; displayed money rounds once to cents, with half cents away from zero.
